A two day online conference designed to build the capacity of educators to implement and sustain system-wide, trauma-informed support for all students.

The COVID-19 pandemic has elevated the importance of the trauma-informed practices. As we are experiencing times of collective adversity, uncertainty, and change, our students need systems that are designed to support their needs now more than ever. Together, we need to create systems that support the social-emotional needs of students and staff.

Move beyond using the ACEs study to building practices that mitigate the impact of trauma in the lives of students.

Understand how social-emotional learning can extend throughout the school day and be embedded in the curriculum & pedagogy.

Build practices that promote educator resilience to meet the social and emotional demands of their professional and private lives.

This conference has been designed by educators and administrators - like you - to provide practical strategies that can be put into practice in your buildings now!

Why this conference?

The Trauma-Informed Schools Institute will address key skills and mindsets needed to develop school environments where students and staff feel supported and connected. You’ll walk away feeling empowered, ready to implement new strategies and actions, while deepening commitment and anchoring into a vision for your school. You will connect with colleagues as you practice content, reflect, apply and practice skills together.

Maybe you're...

Wondering how to create predictability and routine in midst of uncertainty and change.

Looking for ways to build relationships and connect as a way to support learning.

We are designing this conference to be packed full of practical applications and strategies of how you can build practices that promote educator resilience to meet the social and emotional demands of their professional and private lives and mitigate the impact of trauma in the lives of students. We need safe spaces and caring relationships before students and staff can focus on learning.

Not your average online conference

In this season, there are so many virtual conferences, trainings, and workshops out there. So what makes this one different?

Sometimes attending online trainings can feel a little like playing the lottery. You pour over the websites and research the presenters hoping to choose something that will be engaging and practical. Despite my best efforts, I often end up in sessions where the actual content didn't match the description at all or I am left with the question "what's next?". While there is clearly some awesome content to be found in these type of trainings, it all too often requires a lot of effort, and a bit of luck, to find.

We designed this summit to be different!

We have designed each session to be full of engaging content and provide practical applications of the material. All of our sessions are presented by educators and administrators that understand the challenges and rewards of doing this work.

This one of a kind online event will offer live presentations, interactive networking opportunities and access to recordings of sessions through June 1, 2021 so that you can go at your own pace and with what works for your schedule.
